The Vegas Valley Book Festival will host a special reception at the Historic Fifth Street School exclusively for local book clubs on Thursday, September 10, from 6:30 pm — 8:00 pm, in an evening program to preview the festival, foster networking among clubs and recognize some of their “best practices.” The program features actor Brian Kral reading from Eugene O’Neill’s The Iceman Cometh, recognized as one of the greatest works in American drama. Refreshments will be provided. The event is free but book clubs are asked to RSVP by calling 229‑4611.
