The Neon Museum Boneyard inspired the “look” for this year’s book festival, including its official poster and the graphics associated with the event — all created by the AIGA Las Vegas festival branding team. Earlier in the year, the team spent an afternoon in the legendary boneyard with Jack Bonner Photography (@jackybvegas) and captured a dazzling array of signs, letters, fonts and fixtures. Team members, Patty Mar Simmons, Joslynn Anderson, Ann Sprague, and Arnold Dela Cruz (@bureau149) used the images to develop concepts, themes and graphics — marrying the language of the boneyard to a visual narrative of the 2009 festival.
