The Vegas Valley Book Festival (VVBF) created a book club project, “Readers’ Choice,” that invited local book clubs to recommend their favorite authors to present at the festival in November. About 10 book clubs responded and over 40 authors were recommended.
The VVBF literary committee selected three authors based on book club suggestions:
Indu Sundaresan, Splendor of Silence, an author from Washington State whose historical fiction is set in her native India. Recommended by The Bookies book club.
Margaret Coel, The Spirit Woman, New York Times best-selling author of the Wind River mystery series set among the Arapahos in Colorado. Recommended by The Book Nook at LVRJ.com
Vicki Pettersson, City of Souls: The Fourth Sign of the Zodiac, urban fantasy author whose Zodiac series is set in modern Las Vegas. Recommended by the City of Las Vegas Book Club.
