  • My Nevada: Viewpoints from Poets and Artists of the Silver State

    An invitational exhibit of poets and artists exploring the influence and reaction to the idea that is Nevada, its effect upon their words, artwork, lives, and the place they may call home. Poets: Shaun Christensen, Harry Fagel, Dayvid Figler, Joseph Langdon, Waddie Mitchell, Kari O’Connor, Elizabeth Quiñones-Zaldaña, Joan Robinson, Vogue Robinson, and Nathan Say. Artists: Harold Bradford, Ginger Bruner, Keith Conely, Jeff Fulmer, Mary Hill, Anne M. Hoff, Richard Hooker, Merrilee Hortt, Kathleen Nathan, Joseph Watson, Jeanne Voltura and, Sandra Ward Craig.

    The Nevada Humanities Exhibition Series showcases the work of Nevada artists, writers, photographers, and other creative thinkers that explore and articulate a sense of place in the Silver State. The series engages people in a dialog about the Nevada experience.

    The Nevada Humanities Program Gallery is located at 1017 S. First Street, #190, Las Vegas, in the Art Square Garden Courtyard downtown within the 18b Arts District. The Nevada Humanities Program Gallery is open Monday – Thursday from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m., and open until 9:00 p.m. during Preview Thursday and First Friday events each month.
